In April’s Dealership location report, we’ve reported slightly less overall than the previous month. But that’s not to say we haven’t been busy! Totalling 395 location changes, (19 changes every business day) there is certainly plenty of change happening in the UK networks. As ever, if you want to use the data as a trend tracker, simply check out our previous updates and use the numbers as necessary.
Our report for April’s Dealership by type of vehicle gives us the following snapshot: Car 198 (201), LCV 94 (49), HGV 10, (5) and Motorcycle/ATV 93 (168). LCV and Motorcycle ATV clearly leading the pack over the previous month.

April’s report by site type is unrelentingly weighted by Dealerships, 57% in fact. This is lightly down from from the March figure of 64%. This month aftersales sites is identical to the previous month, at 23%. The used car figure of 9% has increased on previous one at 6%. Our ‘others’ category is up too at 10% from just 5% last month.
There’s certainly no shortage of categories in our dataset. For instance break our dealership update report data down by multiple categories. As a sample of some of the categories tracked, for April 2024, we’re reporting : 91 franchises appointed (vs March at 96), 96 franchises relinquished (vs March at 138), 17 dealership relocations (vs 25 in March).
